How SmartSit Came to Life
SmartSit was born from a simple but powerful idea: childcare should be more than just supervision. As parents, educators, and caregivers, we saw a gap between traditional babysitting and meaningful, engaging care. We wanted something better — a smarter, more enriching experience for kids and peace of mind for parents. That’s how SmartSit began: not just as a babysitting service, but as a movement to bring learning, fun, and safety together in every home.
What is our mission? At SmartSit, our mission is to empower children through creative play, learning, and connection — right in their own living rooms. We work with trusted partners like Nex Playground and other interactive learning platforms to offer kids not only entertainment, but also growth. With the help of our trained SmartSitters, we aim to build confidence, curiosity, and joy in every session.
Who is SmartSit for? We serve busy families with children aged 3 to 12, who want more than just a babysitter. Our SmartSitters are ideal for parents looking for safe, reliable, and enriching care, especially those who value education, creativity, and positive engagement. Whether you're working from home, running errands, or just need a break — SmartSit brings smart, screen-free, and active fun to your child’s day.

Every SmartSitter on our team has passed a full background check and comes with at least one volunteer reference from a local nonprofit organization, mosque, church, or community group.
